It's 1938 and the world is on the brink of World War II. An aristocratic German Jew, who has fled Nazi Germany, arrives in Geneva asking for help. A pretty young secretary, left to run the International Committee for Peace office alone, writes a letter. So begins GENEVA. Eventually, Hitler, Franco and Mussolini all converge on Geneva for a peace trial to state their case. Don't miss this rarely seen comedy from the imagination of the one and only G.B.S. |

A glamorous pair of jewel thieves (Charles Busch and Marc Kudisch) convinces a chronic young convalescent (Kathy Brier) to steal her own jewels and run away with them to a tropical paradise. This is Shaw’s 1931 high-comedy journey which takes on fad diets, the medical profession, the military, war, religion, and sex. The extraordinary cast will also include Louis Zorich, Nick Wyman, John Windsor-Cunningham, Eric Grode and Michael Feingold. David Staller produces and directs the series, now in its third of four years. |

Mrs. Dudgeon — Ms. Mary Beth
Peil Host: Howard Kissel |
THE DEVIL'S DISCIPLE, written by George Bernard Shaw in 1896, is a thrilling comedy that employs the unlikely backdrop of the American Revolution. Some of Shaw's most iconographic characters fill out this story of revolt: of one country against another, as well as of the inexhaustible battle of the human spirit - how we choose to create and define ourselves in the face of societal expectations. In this play, we find ourselves in 1777 New Hampshire where Dick Dudgeon opens his heart to life. Along the way, everyone else goes through profound changes of discovery, hope and strength. |

Vienna 1920. A forbidden romance and its consequences. Charles Busch stars as Jitta in a presentation of this rarely heard play. Loosely translated from a Viennese play by Siegfried Trebitsch, the 'atonement' isn't particularly profound but the wicked fun is. |

Saint Joan |

![]() |
Written in 1924, just four years after Joan was finally canonized, this is the play that won Shaw the Pulitzer Prize. The play employs Shaw’s more witty uses of irony in his story-telling. He takes us on a breathtaking ride from Joan’s first battle to rid France of the English, to her infamous trial. In Shaw’s hands, Joan becomes a fully human young woman determined to live life battling not only the English, but also the constraints men have placed upon women in society. |
